Healing Through Story, Culture & Connection

Guided by Legacy Grounded in Culture

Welcome
to Our Site

The Hennessy Legacy Collective is an Aboriginal-led, culturally safe social and emotional wellbeing initiative grounded in truth, story, Country and connection. Our programs welcome all people who are seeking healing, creativity, cultural learning, and deeper connection, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal.

Inspired by the legacy of Cyril Hennessy who found The Glen Rehabilitation Centre and generations of cultural knowledge, we walk alongside individuals and communities through storytelling, creative expression, yarning circles and on-Country experiences that strengthen identity, belonging and wellbeing.

Our approach is community-led, strengths-based and inclusive, supporting people from all backgrounds to reconnect with their own story, their own sense of purpose, and the communities around them.

Acknowledgment of Country

Hennessy Legacy Collective acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Darkinjung Country, where we live and work. We honour their enduring connection to land, waters, culture and story.

Our Malyangapa family originates from Barkindji Country, along the Barka River and the sacred grounds of Mutawintji. Today, Darkinjung Country is our home, and we walk here with respect and gratitude.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present, whose knowledge and leadership continue to guide our work. We commit to empowering future generations to carry culture forward with strength.
