Collaborate With Us
At Hennessy Legacy Collective, we believe collaboration is a powerful way to deepen truth telling, strengthen community, and bring culture to life through shared creativity. We welcome opportunities to work alongside artists, storytellers, organisations, cultural practitioners, community groups and anyone whose values align with healing, connection and legacy. Whether it’s co-creating artwork, delivering workshops, developing programs or building meaningful community-led projects, we invite collaborators who walk with respect, curiosity and heart.
Creative Partnerships & Exhibitions – The Black Cockatoo Project
The Showcase
A Homecoming of Story, Sound & Silence
The exhibition will be a living, breathing tribute to Glen Hennessy’s poetry, a powerful homecoming of words, land, and memory.
This is not just an art display. It is a multi-sensory experience designed to bring audiences into the quiet, ancient world woven through Glen’s writing.

What the Showcase Will Be
The showcase will feature mixed-medium artworks created in collaboration with First Nations artists who have responded to Glen’s poems through their own creative language.
Each piece will stand as both an interpretation and an extension of his words, honouring the spirit of his storytelling while giving it new form, texture, and life.

Every artwork will be paired with a selected poem, inviting viewers to feel the imagery, not just read it.

A Celebration of Legacy
The Black Cockatoo Project showcase honours:
Glen’s gentle strength as a storyteller
the healing lineage of the Hennessy family
Malyangapa Tribe, Barkindji and Darkinjung Country
and the timeless connection between land and language

The Showcase
A creative program empowering young people to share their stories through film, photography, audio, digital art and culturally grounded storytelling workshops. This project helps youth explore identity, culture and lived experience using modern digital tools. We welcome collaborations with schools, youth services, artists and community partners who want to support young people to find their voice and tell their stories with confidence.

What the Showcase Will Be

Legacy Story Telling
Helping people tell their stories with truth, strength and cultural grounding

The Legacy Storytelling Project supports individuals and communities to share their personal and cultural stories in a safe, guided and creative way. Through yarning circles, writing, digital media and culturally informed storytelling practices, we help people explore identity, healing, family history and the moments that shaped them, and turn these into powerful stories that can be held, shared or passed on.
